Sign up on your own or form a team

Here’s one more reason to look forward to spring: The 2011 Cape Abilities 5K Walk/Run will be held Saturday, May 14 at Hyannis Village Green. The flat, wheel-measured course features gorgeous water views, making it a pleasure for runners and walkers alike. The event begins at 9:15 a.m., with registration starting at 8 a.m.

Come on your own or form a team. It’s not too early to begin training and, if you choose, start raising money for a good cause. All monies raised help support Cape Abilities, a nonprofit organization that provides jobs, homes, transportation and support for people with disabilities across Cape Cod.

Register at www.FirstGiving.com/CapeAbilities. Registration is $25 in advance, or $30 on race day.

The 2011 Cape Abilities Walk/Run is being sponsored by Rogers & Gray Insurance, Cape Cod Broadcasting and Cape Cod Media Group.
