ARRAIGNMENTS

DALTON, Carol A, 54,56 Forest St. Apt. 2, Middleboro; from a complaint issued August 1 byMiddleboro police, Dalton was arraigned on charges of leaving the scene ofproperty damage, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and assault with adangerous weapon. According to the police report, Middleboro police respondingto a report of a damaged fuel pump at a service station were able to identifyDalton from video surveillance footage as the person who allegedly drove intothe pump and left the scene. An investigation indicated that Dalton may havehad an altercation with patrons of the Royal Café prior to the incident,leading to the assault charge. Pretrial conference was scheduled for October 5.The question of bail was undetermined at the time of this report.

ABBOTT, Darren, 23, 115 High St., Wareham; from acomplaint issued July 27 by Wareham police, Abbott was arraigned on a charge oflarceny over $250 by single scheme in connection with the recovery of over$15,000 worth of antique silverware, coins and jewelry stolen from a SouthBlvd. residence. According to the report, Abbott had allegedly been working inthe residence at the time the merchandise was stolen.  A check of local antique shops revealed thatAbbott allegedly used his own identification to sell off the goods. Pretrialwas set for October 20 with the question of bail undetermined at the time ofthis report.

ROSSI, Apryl M, 32, 8 Acoaxet Lane, Wareham; from anarrest on August 19 by Wareham police, Rossi was arraigned on a charge ofdomestic assault and battery. Rossi was released on her own recognizance toappear on September 23 for pretrial conference.

DISPOSITIONS

THOMAS, Alfred A, 42,241 France St., Middleboro; from a complaint issued March 29 by Middleboropolice, Thomas entered a guilty plea on two counts of domestic assault andbattery. Thomas was sentenced to 2 years house of correction. According to thereport that Thomas acknowledged, and admitted to during his plea colloquy,Thomas beat the victim so severely that he ruptured her spleen. Thomas alsoreceived a two year house of correction sentence on a charge of witnessintimidation. Thomas had been held since his arraignment on April 1 on $10,000cash bail.
