BAKER, Ian M, 37, 22 Keel Way, Hyannis; violating an abuse prevention order, September 10 in Hyannis.  Pretrial conference scheduled for October 3.

CARTAGENA, Jesus, 17, 53 Diane Ave, Yarmouth; receiving stolen property over $250, July 15 in Yarmouth.  Pretrial conference scheduled for October 18.  According to p0lice reports, two bicycles were stolen from children at Old Townhouse Park.  The first was a bright green Red Line valued at $200; the second a dark green Clifford valued at $400.  On July 20, police were dispatched to a "general disturbance" in front of the Auto Zone on Route 28.  The father of one of the youths had spotted someone riding his son's bike while picking up a pizza.  Police informed both Cartagena and another individual present they would be charged with receiving stolen property.  Each claimed to have purchased a bicycle from an individual known to both they had seen wheeling the two through the Captain's Village neighborhood.

DAVIS, John A, 65, 26 Race Ln, Sandwich; larceny of a  motor vehicle, July 29 in Barnstable.  Pretrial conference scheduled for October 18.  According to police reports, a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd broke down in June, and the vehicle's owner had it towed to Monro Muffler in Hyannis.  The reporting party stated the manager there had given her permission to leave the vehicle on the premises until she decided what to do with it.  Several weeks later, the vehicle was nowhere to be found.  The assistant manager, Davis, reported a tow truck had arrived and towed it away elsewhere.  On August 2nd, the vehicle's owner received a call from the manager saying he had located the missing Grand Cherokee.  It was on Davis' property, 26 Race Lane in Sandwich.  He advised her to report the vehicle stolen.  Barnstable police notified police in Sandwich they would be visiting the property, and they confirmed the stolen Jeep's location.  At her request, Barnstable police had it towed to her residence.  Davis Towing, it turned out had originally removed the Jeep from Monro Muffler.  Davis asserted, in contrast to his earlier claims of ignorance that he had seen others remove parts from the Jeep as it sat at Munro Muffler, believed the Jeep's engine was blown and had taken it upon himself to remove the Jeep from the lot in his manager's absence.  When asked as to Munro Muffler's policy on junking cars, he had no answer.  Davis was arrested.
