Disposal and recycling company collects donated computers for Masonic Angels
In the first two weeks of the program, M.A. Frazier’s sales manager, Ken Holland delivered four computers to the Masonic Angels. Within days all four machines were placed with the Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School.
M.A. Frazier is a local commercial waste disposal and recycling company based in Wellfleet and celebrating 25 years in business this year. Laptops for KidZ (LFK) places laptop computers with local schools to be sent home with children who would not otherwise have computer access outside school hours. Select desktop computers are also accepted for use in classroom instruction.
LFK has placed 245 computers with area schools since April 2010. The three laptops and one desktop delivered by Frazier will be used by the school for mathematics and science instruction.
Frazier is offering free removal of computers to be donated to the Masonic Angels. To qualify for the Laptops for KidZ project, computers must have a minimum of a Pentium III processor with a valid Microsoft Windows certificate of authenticity attached to the computer. M.A. Frazier Disposal usually charges customers $35 for recycling of computers.
M.A. Frazier Disposal also supports LFK by providing free disposal of derelict machines that the Masons determine cannot be refurbished.
The Masonic Angel Foundations Laptops for KidZ project is a member of the Microsoft Registered Refurbished program. As such, LFK receives generous pricing on "citizenship licenses" for Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Windows 7 Professional.
