YARMOUTH/DENNIS - Yarmouth Deputy Police Chief Steven Xiarhos announced Friday that both the Yarmouth and Dennis Police Departments have identified a suspect in two recent armed robberies. According to a Yarmouth police release, Jeffrey T. Leonard, 29, of 2 Ivanhoe Road in West Yarmouth, is wanted by authorities in connection with the armed robbery of Finley's Liquor Mart on Route 28 in West Dennis Thursday night and the Yarmouth Port Village Store on Route 6A in Yarmouth Port on November 19.

During the commission of both robberies, the suspect was armed and masked.

Leonard is described as having tattoos all over his body, including his neck and face.  He should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.

Once apprehended, Leonard will be charged with armed robbery while masked, possession of a firearm after being convicted of a violent crime and possession of a firearm while in the commission of a masked and armed robbery.

Leonard reportedly has what Yarmouth police have described as "a long history of violent crime".

Anyone who knows Leonard's whereabouts is asked to contact Yarmouth police, or the police in their town.
