The Centervilled-based Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC) announced this week the appointment of Kevin Howard to the position of president & CEO.  Howard had served as the non-profit's executive director since his appointment in 2011.

"Kevin's new role is consistent with the Arts Foundation's strategic plan to grow the organization and continue to explore new ways that it can more effectively achieve its critical mission," said AFCC Board Chairman Mark Skala.

Howard will continue the regional organization's mission of supporting, promoting and strengthening the "creative" economy of Cape Cod. In addition to its grant awarding and cultural programming, AFCC will soon launch an ArtsCapeCod website which will feature the Cape's first online, multi-venue box office, according to an AFCC release.

Prior to becoming executive director of AFCC, Howard was the president and executive director of the Cape Cod Conservatory of Music & Arts
