The Town of Orleans last week announced the lineup for the 2014 summer Nauset Beach Concert Series. Concerts are held each Monday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning July 7.

The concerts are sponsored by the Orleans Parks and Beaches Department. They supply the talent, you need only supply a beach chair or blanket, something to nosh and bug spray (so you don't get noshed).

The 2014 summer schedule is as follows:

  • 07/07: Greg Johnson & 45 RPM playing acoustic folk, pop and rock
  • 07/14: Link Montana & the Rough Riders playing rockabilly and surf
  • 07/21: The Last Men on Earth playing music of the world
  • 07/28: Easy Street playing acoustic swing and blue grass
  • 08/04: The Johns playing rock and funk
  • 08/11: Frank Poranski & the Pollyanas playing rock and and jazz
  • 08/18: The Rip-It-Ups playing rock and blues and rockabilly
  • 08/25: What Would Johnny Do? playing reggae

Outdoor summer concerts are an ideal way for locals and visitors to check out the Cape Cod music scene.

If there is rain, the concert will be shifted to Tuesday.
