Sandwich looks to fill finance committee vacancy

Six other town committees also have openings

The Town of Sandwich is looking to fill several committee vacancies including one on the town's finance committee.

Residents interested in obtaining the appointed position should contact Town Moderator Garry Blank at the Sandwich Town Hall, 130 Main Street.

In addition to the finance committee opening, there are openings on six other committees:

  • Board of Health (elected position) - three-person board
  • Capital Planning (appointed by moderator) - five-member committee
  • Historic District Committee (elected position) - five-member committee, four of five members are elected to a 4-year term, fifth member must be an architect/builder and is appointed
  • Library Trustee (elected position) - nine current members
  • Planning Board (elected position) - seven-member committee, 3-year terms
  • Sandwich Housing Authority (elected position) - five-member committee, four elected to staggered five year terms, fifth member appointed by governor

Sandwich residents interested in serving their community are encouraged to complete the online talent bank form on the town's website here. Names in the talent back are not only available to Sandwich selectman and all town offices, but to the public as well, according to the site.
