Truro selectmen to take office hours out into the community

Meet with board members at the farmers market and the transfer station

In what can simply be called a convenience for the community, the Truro Board of Selectmen are taking their office hours on the road. Through September, Truro residents can now meet with their town representatives while they are out doing their chores.

On select days, a selectman or two will be available at the town's transfer station on Route 6, community center at 7 Standish Way or farmers market at the town center.

The schedule of out-in-the-field office hours is as follows:

  • Wednesday, August 13, Janet Worthington will be at the Truro Community Center from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • On Saturday, August 16, Jay Coburn will be at the Truro Transfer Station from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • On Monday, August 25, Robert Weinstein and Paul Wisotzky will be at the farmers market from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • On Monday, September 8, Maureen Burgess will be at the farmers market from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • On Wednesday, September 17, Janet Worthington and Maureen Burgess will be at that transfer station from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The program has been in place since July, with selectmen appearing at the transfer station twice and the farmers market once.
