The evening's topic is pedestrian safety

The Cotuit-Santuit Civic Association will host a community visioning session on Tuesday, September 16 at 7 p.m. at Freedom Hall, 976 Main Street in Cotuit. The topic of this first session is pedestrian safety and pedestrian connections.

Members of the Cotuit-Santuit Civic Association and Barnstable Town Council President Jessica Rapp-Grassetti will be on hand to discuss pedestrian safety in Cotuit.

The community sessions will result in a concept plan addressing pedestrian safety especially in the area of Putnam Ave., Falmouth Road (Route 28) and Cotuit Village center. The plan will also address vehicle/pedestrian conflict on Main Street and excessive speeding by drivers in the area.

Representatives from the Town of Barnstable including Police Chief Paul McDonald, Town Engineer Roger Parsons and Growth Management Director  Jo Anne Miller Buntich will participate in the session.

Cotuit residents are encouraged to attend and contribute ideas and suggestions.
