Dennis police to host first ever Senior Citizens Police Academy

Five sessions to be held at the Dennis Council on Aging

The Dennis Police Department will hold its first ever Senior Citizens Police Academy this November. The academy, which begins on Tuesday, November 4, will consist of five sessions.

Participants will lean about may aspects of police work including criminal law, investigation, self defense and crime prevention, according to a Dennis police release.

Sessions are scheduled for November 4, 18 and 25 and December 2 and 9. All classes are held in the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Dennis Council on Aging, 1045 Route 134 in South Dennis.
