Harwich paving project to close part of Queen Anne Road Tuesday

Detours will be in place, delays should be expected

A paving project will close a portion of Queen Anne Road in Harwich Tuesday morning. Harwich police announced that Queen Anne Road between the roundabout on Route 39 and Route 137 will be closed on November 18 between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The section of Queen Anne Road to be paved will be closed to through traffic. Traffic coming from Chatham on Route 137 or Old Queen Anne Road will be detoured down Church Street.

In addition to the Queen Anne Road closure, the southbound lane of Route 137 at Continental Drive will be closed. Traffic will be diverted down Continental Drive to Church Street. Motorists will then be able to continue south on Church Street, then either left on Old Queen Anne Road or right on Route 137.

Signs and police officers will be in place to guide motorists. Delays should be expected. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternative routes during the project.
