Water pump failure closes Cape Cod Community College Friday

UPDATE: Campus open for regular schedule on Saturday

UPDATE: The West Barnstable campus of Cape Cod Community College is open for its regular schedule Saturday. The announcement that the repairs had been made was mae early Saturday morning.

Cape Cod Community College closed Friday afternoon after a water pump on the West Barnstable campus failed. The campus is currently without water.

The Hyannis Center is still open, according to a release from the college.

Crews are working to restore water. It is unknown when water to the West Barnstable campus will be restored. 

The campus will remain closed Friday evening--all classes and activities have been canceled.

School administrators hope to reopen the campus Saturday morning. Students are encouraged to contact the school by calling 508-375-4070 or checking the Cape Cod Community College website and/or social media pages to confirm whether or not the campus has reopened. 

Cape Cod Community College is at 2240 Iyannough Road in West Barnstable. The Hyannis Center is at 540 Main Street in Hyannis.
