Cape Cod Academy’s campus will host several summer camps for the 2017 season. Campers can mix-and-match their camp experience, choosing to spend different weeks with each of the different camps – or just enjoy one all summer long.
Seahawk Summer Camp offers two camps: Seahawk Junior Camp (Pre-K-K) and Seahawk Camp (Grades 1-8). The Seahawk Camps are fun, co-ed day camps that offer tennis, arts and crafts, archery, Red Cross certified swim lessons, games, trips to the beach and more! Seahawk Camp runs from July 3rd through August 11th.
This summer, three specialty day camps will be hosted on the school’s 46 acre campus: Red Sky Sports Academy, EmPow Tech Camp, Cotuit Center for the Arts and a big band week with local band Stage Door Canteen.
Red Sky Sports Academy is a multi-sport day camp for kids in grades K-8 with high level coaching for soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, tennis, street hockey and flag football. Red Sky Sports Academy runs from July 3 – August 11, Monday-Friday, 9AM-12PM.
Empow Tech Camp is a full or half day camp that engages kids in creative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) projects and Minecraft. Empow Tech Camp is open to kids in grades 2-8 and runs from July 10-August 11.
For the first time, Cotuit Center for the Arts will partner with Cape Cod Academy. They will offer camps in musical theater, musical play (for budding musicians in grades K and 1) and Mini Musical camp for young performers who love to sing, dance, and act. Dates and times of these camps vary. Please see the Cape Cod Academy website for details.
A few other first time, week-long camps will also be offered this summer including Big Band Camp led by local big band, Stage Door Canteen. The band camp will run the week of July 17-21 from 9AM-1PM and is open to kids in grades 7-12. Campers must have their own instrument.
Also for the first time a Yoga and Music Camp will be on campus. Campers will be introduced to a variety of yoga poses as well as chakra song. A Girls’ Singer/Songwriter & Guitarist Camp with local musician Alicia Mathewson is an additional week-long offering.
“We’re really excited about the 2017 summer camp season,” said Megan Mongeau, Director of Summer Programs at Cape Cod Academy. “In addition to our stellar Seahawk Camp, we are happy to host so many specialty camps to bring a rounded camp experience to our community.”
