"Dear Mr. Masons" - Letter from a Laptops for KidZ recipient

Elementary school boy thanks Masonic Angels for his laptop

Dear friends,

Below is a note we received Wednesday morning from one of our Laptops for KidZ recipients.  The elementary school child’s name was redacted, of course. (A full-sized scan of the letter is clickable below)

Dear Mr. Masons,

Thank you for the computer.  You are good at doing your job.

I will take good care of it for the rest of my life.

From [redacted]

These laptops make an enormous impact on the lives of the children that receive them.  Because we are entirely staffed by volunteers, our costs to place a refurbished laptop still average only $17 or so.

Many of our school partners emphasize how these laptops “level the playing field” for children in low-income households.  Coupled with Comcast’s Internet Essentials $9.95/month broadband access package, Laptops for KidZ is a game-changer for a motivated child who is being held back for lack of access to technology.

Please share with anyone you know who might have a surplus laptop to donate.

Cordially,

Masonic Angel Foundation's Laptops for KidZ Project volunteers
