Hope Health Welcomes New Hospice Leaders

New COO and Director of Quality and Compliance

Hyannis, Mass. - HopeHealth is pleased to announce the addition of two new leaders to their leadership team: Rebecca (Becky) Miller, LCSW, as hospice chief operating officer and Jacqueline (Jackie) Nelson, RN, BSc, MPH, as director of hospice quality and compliance. Miller has overall responsibility for hospice clinical operations and patient care services. Nelson is responsible for ensuring high quality care through a variety of initiatives and a strong hospice compliance program.

Miller brings over 20 years of experience as a social worker and a hospice operations leader. She was formerly the chief operating officer of Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care in Mount Prospect, Illinois. She has a wealth of non-profit hospice experience and is known for her innovation, ability to facilitate and integrate newly affiliated organizations and a strong attention to clinical operational details.

Miller’s career began at Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care as a medical social worker and subsequently a grief counselor. Her leadership career began outside of hospice while she worked in the elementary/middle school sector in counseling and program development positions. She returned to Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care in 2009 and held a variety of leadership positions, and most recently, as the chief operating officer. Miller received her bachelor’s and master’s in social work from the University of Illinois in Chicago. Miller recently relocated to Sandwich, Massachusetts.

Nelson brings over 30 years of experience in nursing including over 20 years in hospice and home care. She is formerly the director of palliative care and organizational quality and compliance officer for Arbor Hospice & Palliative Care in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has a history of promoting a culture of excellence in patient care while working on quality assessment and improving quality outcomes.

Nelson’s career began at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, as a critical care nurse. Nelson received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Andrews University and her master’s in public health from Aurora University. Nelson recently relocated to Plymouth, Massachusetts.
