MSPCA-Cape Cod Pet of the Week: Meet Coco the guinea pig

Three-year-old Coco needs a home!  Hard as it may be to believe, this sweet guinea pig ended up at the MPSCA-Cape Cod in Centerville when the dog in his former home developed a guinea pig allergy.  But Coco is biding his time and making the most of his situation.  His kind handlers at the MSPCA report that he loves nothing more than exploring the inside (and outside) of his cage.  This guy may be little but he is full of personality.  Like all guinea pigs, Coco needs fresh hay, lots of greens, pellets (available in any pet store) and plenty of water every day.  Coco’s favorite treat?  Sweet green and red peppers—which happen to be an excellent source of vitamin C, which keeps him healthy.
