Join us for the Barnstable Libraries' Summer Reading Kick-Off Event at Centerville Public Library, 585 Main Street, on Friday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. featuring musical quest, David Polansky and a Four Seas ice cream social on the patio! David Polansky's music is frequently humorous, sometimes serious, and always clever and engaging. Loved by everyone from preschoolers to grandparents! FREE, all ages event!

Each library offers a fun Summer Reading Program with incentives to keep kids of all ages motivated and engaged over summer vacation. Many students will lose more than two months in reading achievement and most will lose two months of grade-level equivalency in math skills every summer. There will be information on the summer reading programs going on at the seven village libraries in Barnstable at this event. You may also check out each library's website for information on the individual programs.
