Dr. Scott Oliver, an orthopedic surgeon at Plymouth Bay Orthopedic Associates and Chief of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital -Plymouth has been named a winner in the 38th annual Telly Awards, recognizing the best in TV, digital, and non-broadcast video productions. His winning video, “Hip Replacement Story” was produced by local advertising agency/production company Creative Resources Group. As one of over 13,000 Telly entries from all 50 states and numerous other countries, this award is truly an honor.
“Hip Replacement Story” is one of several web videos designed to give viewers a better understanding of joint replacement and its benefits. Viewers follow a patient through his entire experience, with interviews before and after the operation. Dr. Oliver discusses the procedure with x-rays and a hip replacement model. For viewers interested in learning even more, Creative Resources Group produced a complimenting surgical video. Narrated by Dr. Oliver, this companion piece shows a complete, unedited hip replacement.
“We are very excited to share this award with Dr. Oliver and his entire team at Plymouth Bay Orthopedics and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth,” says Charlie Rasak, CRG President and Creative Director. “Patients facing this type of surgery may feel nervous, they don’t know what to expect. These videos help relieve that stress and provide reassurance.”
