P-Town Police Traffic, Parking Advisory for Carnival

Where to park, where not to drive...
P-Town Police bulletin on Carnival-related parking restrictions, road closures (PPD photo)

From the Provincetown Police Department:

There is a temporary parking restriction on Commercial Street TODAY, from the blinking light at the intersection of Bradford Street all the way down to Franklin Street proximate to the Coast Guard Station, between 9:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. for the 38th annual Provincetown Carnival Parade Celebration.

On certain streets, one or both sides will be posted as no-parking zones or blocked completely, either because the parade is coming through, or to allow for emergency vehicle access if needed. Parking restrictions will be well-marked, and violators will be subject to fines and towing.

Delivery vehicles will be allowed to complete their routes until the 12:00 P.M. deadline.

There will also be no live parking or stopping allowed.

Snail Road will be closed to all traffic beginning at 1:30 P.M. for purposes of staging the parade.

Travelers are asked to seek alternative routes during the posted times.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable CARNIVAL…..
