Registration is open for this year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Cape Cod. This fundraiser walk for the American Cancer Society is set for Sunday, Oct. 15, rain or shine, at the Barnstable County Superior Courthouse, 3195 Main St., Barnstable. Registration opens at 10 a.m., and the walk is from 11 a.m.  – 1 p.m.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks are the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting more than one million volunteers across the U.S. with a shared determination to help free the world from the pain and suffering of breast cancer. When you walk and raise money for the Making Strides program, you ensure no one facing breast cancer will ever have to walk alone. Money raised helps the American Cancer Society fund innovative breast cancer research; provide free, comprehensive information and support for those touched by breast cancer; and help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable.
