Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill is excited to present the work of our “Art on Saturdays” students. The closing reception will be December 10, 2017 from 2-4pm at Castle Hill’s Gallery at 10 Meetinghouse Road in Truro.  The Closing is a free event, open to the public.

Students ages 7-15 have explored drawing, bookmaking, printmaking, collage and sculpture throughout the course of the six week program.  The students will be exhibiting their gelatin prints and collages as well as their handmade felt flags.

The program was designed to serve local elementary, middle and high school students on the Cape, from Provincetown to Brewster.  The project based curriculum demonstrated techniques while encouraging students to experiment with materials, explore ideas and establish their own body of work.

This program was taught by local artist Edin Cook who is a certified visual arts teacher.  She has shown her artwork in Chicago and Los Angeles.  She is currently living in Truro and is interested in the intersection between visual arts, education, climate change, and comedy.
