Letter from a grateful Yarmouth business owner...

Letter to the editor..

Winter storm Grayson arrived on Thursday, we were all prepared for what was to come.

Opening up our business in the morning and waiting for the day to develop, around noontime we noticed a small telephone pole fire occurring right outside of our businesses, we called the yarmouth fire department and the dispatcher had said there was engine 43 just coming back from a previous run and will have them swing in.

They got there in seconds and secured the area. Within seconds they notified eversource to stop the Power to that pole.Within minutes three eversource trucks pulled up and made there way to the burning pole. The remarkable response and the outstanding work done by the folks is truly worth writing this huge Thank you to all involved.

We were able to re-open within a brief amount of time.

Thank you so much.

  • Yarmouth Fire department
  • Eversource
  • And all of our customers.
