...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM WEDNESDAY TO 8 AM EDT
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8
  inches are expected.

* WHERE...Cape Cod and Martha`s Vineyard.

* WHEN...From 8 AM Wednesday to 8 AM EDT Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions, mainly
  during the afternoon commute and into Wednesday night. Damage to
  trees and power lines is likely. Be prepared for power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM WEDNESDAY TO NOON EDT
THURSDAY...

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a High Wind
Warning, which is in effect from 8 AM Wednesday to noon EDT
Thursday. The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect.

* Location...Cape Cod and the Islands.

* Winds...Northeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* Timing...Strongest winds Wednesday night into Thursday
  morning.

* Impacts...Damage to trees, power lines, and property are
  possible. Power outages are likely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning is issued when sustained winds of 40 mph are
expected for at least one hour, with gusts of 58 mph or greater
at any time. Take action to secure loose outdoor objects.
