From State Rep Tim Whelan:

My deepest thanks for the friendship, leadership, and perseverance of my good friend Rep. Paul Tucker (D-Salem), who worked closely with me in jointly filing several pieces of legislation on fentanyl trafficking and synthetic opioids, including carfentanil.

Paul is the retired Chief of Police from the City of Salem and a dedicated lifelong public servant.

Today our combined efforts resulted in important changes to state law that will give law enforcement the needed tools to protect our citizens from criminal traffickers and those who peddle deadly synthetic opioids in our communities. welcomes thoughtful comments and the varied opinions of our readers.
