At 614 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Franklin to Providence to near Coventry to
Richmond to Charlestown to near Westerly to 6 miles northwest of
Montauk Point. Movement was east at 65 mph.

Winds up to 45 mph will accompany these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Providence, New Bedford, Brockton, Fall River, Warwick, Cranston,
Pawtucket, Plymouth, Taunton, Weymouth, East Providence, Barnstable,
Woonsocket, Dartmouth, Cumberland, Randolph, North Providence,
Franklin, Falmouth and West Warwick.


Get indoors when these storms approach. Winds may be strong enough to
produce minor damage, such as a few downed branches.

Frequent lightning was occurring. Lightning can strike far away from
the storm. Go inside a building or vehicle. Wait at least 30 minutes
until after the storm has passed to resume outdoor activities.
