Two Arrests by Wareham Police on Wednesday

One for drugs, one for outstanding warrants...

From the Wareham Police Department:

On Wednesday July 11, at about 9:20 pm Officer Charles Pillsbury and Sgt. Peter Flannery responded to the area of Roundhill Blvd. for a reported armed robbery. At the scene officers met Vaughn P. White, 19, of Brockton, claiming that he and his friend had been held up by two males at gunpoint. The story the victim relayed to police had multiple inconsistencies, and after an on-scene investigation, Mr. White was arrested. Officers located a large amount of marijuana and ammunition in in his car. The alleged robbery was not random and the investigation into this incident is on-going. Mr. White is charged with, possession of a class “D” substance, and illegal possession of ammunition. He was taken to police headquarters processed, and is scheduled to appear in Wareham District Court on Thursday.

 

                        Later, on Thursday morning at 2:30 am, Officer Christopher Corner observed David Lewis, 59, of Manchester, New Hampshire in a vehicle near Cumberland Farms on Depot Street. Officer Corner was aware of four outstanding warrants for Mr. Lewis and with the assistance of Sgt. Daniel Henderson placed him under arrest. Mr. Lewis was taken to police headquarters where he was held without bail pending an appearance in Wareham District Court.
