A 70 year old Douglas man was arrested Monday after he was found intoxicated, belligerent and with a loaded gun on his boat.

Richard Lepage faces charges of disorderly conduct and being an intoxicated person in possesion of a firearm.

Officers were dispatched to Besse Park at 8:45 a.m. Monday on reports of an intoxicated man on a boat.  Upon arrival, the officers tried to speak with Mr. Lepage and found him uncooperative and screaming expletives.  Officers further discovered a handgun on the boat's console.

As the man became increasingly hostile, officers took him into custody. The loaded gun was secured.

Lepage will be arraigned in Wareham District Court today.
