Three Locals Earn Academic Awards at Colgate University

More local students make us proud...

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade during the spring 2018 semester earn the Dean's Award with Distinction.

  • Chloe Bass, of Buzzards Bay, MA (02532) is a graduate of Sturgis Charter West Campus and a member of the Colgate Class of 2021. Bass's current major is Psychology.
  • Griffin Prescott, of Cotuit, MA (02635) is a graduate of Tilton School and a member of the Colgate Class of 2019. Prescott's current major is Political Science.
  • Alexandra Newlon, of West Dennis, MA (02670) is a graduate of Medfield High School and a member of the Colgate Class of 2020. Newlon's current major is Applied Math.

Colgate offers 56 majors to a diverse student body of approximately 2,900 undergraduate students, and it supports 25 Division I athletic teams. The university's 575-acre campus in rural central New York is renowned for its beauty and for the important role it plays in the student experience.
