MSPCA Pet of the Week - Chip the Hamster

He's an itsy, bitsy, baby hamster...

Did you know that you don’t have to go to a pet store to buy a hamster, because the MSPCA-Cape Cod has hamsters available for adoption instead!

One such hamster is “Chip,” who’s only several weeks old and is about the most adorable little pet anyone could ask for.  Hamsters make fabulous first family pets and are “easy keepers.”  Everything chip needs to thrive—a suitable cage or aquarium, exercise wheel and toys—and litter and food—can be found at any pet store.  Chip also loves fresh vegetables such as lettuce, carrots, celery and more.  Hamsters can live for several years and can even be trained to learn simple tricks.

Chip is available now and you should come meet him in person at the MSPCA-Cape Cod during open hours.  You can also email [email protected] for more info!
