Community Connections, Inc. recently hired a new program manager in its Mashpee Day Program, who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program.
Margaret "Mags" Salaki has been welcomed to the program, bringing 20 years of experience in human services. She has worked in the special education department in the school system, provided home-based services for early intervention, has experience with residential management, day habilitation and community services.
Salaki recently moved to Yarmouth and said she is excited to be able to live and work on Cape Cod.
"Community Connections' philosophy fits in with mine," Salaki said. "I'm a big believer in maximizing independence for the individuals that we serve."
The Community Connections Inc. Mashpee Day Center opened in 2001. The multi-service facility located just up the street from Mashpee Commons provides life skills, day habilitation, employment and transportation services for individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities.
