Deadgrass LIVE

Thursday, August 30 at 8pm

"Deadgrass’ high energy and melodic bluegrass take on the Grateful Dead is refreshing and fun..." nysmusic.com

After a sold-out and blowout performance for Payomet this spring, Deadgrass LIVE! is back to help kick-off Labor Day weekend with something new, something fresh... and something very dead! This acoustic, 5-piece, Gateful Dead inspired band has been thrilling audiences all along the East coast, featuring multi-instrumentalist Matt Turk and Grammy award winner C Lanzbom. Don't miss this great band’s LIVE! electrifying bluegrass interpretations of the music of Jerry Garcia from his earliest Jug Band days through Old & In the Way, The Jerry Garcia Band and of course, The Grateful Dead.

Taj Mahal Trio

Friday, August 31 at 8pm

"Taj Mahal is one of the most versatile bluesmen around, having tackled country blues, R&B, jazz, gospel, reggae and more..." -All About Jazz

A bonafide blues and rock legend, the inimitable Taj Mahal has been instrumental in preserving and shaping American roots music, and we’re thrilled to welcome him and his trio back to North Truro. With his booming baritone, nimble finger-picking guitar playing and pioneering fusion of blues with disparate world and folk styles, the iconic artist has earned himself a place amongst the titans of American music. Grammy Award-winner Taj Mahal's resume includes working with such renowned artists as  Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Guy, Lightnin' Hopkins, and Muddy Waters and the Rolling Stones during his 50+ year career.

Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes

Saturday, September 1 at 8pm

"When I grew up I wanted to be a Juke. I still want to be a Juke" - Jon Bon Jovi

Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes emerged from the 1970’s New Jersey Shore music scene with their classic blend of hard-core R&B and street-level rock, molten grooves, soulful guitar licks and blistering horn section. Forth plus years later, Johnny and his Jukes continue to put their unique stamp on the Jersey Shore sound, while recalling the glory years of Otis Redding and similar R&B titans.

Steve Earle & the Dukes

Sunday, September 2 at 8pm

"He sounds more energized and powerful than he has in years." – Pitchfork Magazine

Steve Earle has turned many a musical corner during his illustrious career. He has been equally acclaimed as a folk troubadour, a rockabilly raver, a contemplative bluesman, a honky-tonk rounder, a snarling rocker and even a bluegrass practitioner.
