From the Dennis Fire Department:

Preparing For Disaster

As part of the Governors proclamation as September being “Emergency Preparedness Month”, the town of Dennis took full advantage of the expertise of George Popovici, Senior Safety Engineer for Eversource. With hurricane season approaching and the severe winter storms last year, members from the Department of Public Works, Fire and Police were instructed on the inherent dangers of downed power lines, wires in the trees, and what to do if a power line comes down on their vehicle.

“We want the first responders and the public to remember to treat all down power lines as live until secured by the power company” George Popovici stated.
