From State Rep. Tim Whelan (R-Brewster)...
The ground is officially broken on the Yarmouth Commons development on Rte 28 in South Yarmouth. 69 units of workforce housing will soon be available with tons of credit due to municipal government. I really cannot give enough credit to Yarmouth officials for their leadership.
I was thrilled to join with DHCD Undersecretary Chan, Senator Julian Cyr, Selectwoman Tracy Post, Town Planner Kathy Williams, and Affordable Housing Coordinator Mary Waygan , and Dakota Partners developers to commemorate the hard work it took to get here.
I am especially proud of the work my office did with Secretary Jay Ash of the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development to help realize over $4 million in grants and tax incentives that helped to make this project a reality. When in doubt, work harder. The best advice my Dad ever gave me.
