Christmas Movie Guide

Yes, it's that time of year again...

It’s that time of the year; Christmas is just around the corner and the holiday season wouldn’t be the same without holiday decorations, delicious cookies, a cozy fireplace and, of course, a good Christmas movie. With snow covering the streets and presents all open, there is one thing you can do; hit the local theatre and have some fun watching our favorite new Christmas titles for this season. For those who would rather stay in, we have some Netflix recommendations as well. However, if you feel like you won’t be able to enjoy this year’s Christmas movies because of all the exams and due-to papers, make sure to visit PapersOwl for excellent writing services.

All on board? Let us begin:

The Grinch

The list starts with a third screen adaptation of Dr. Seuss book How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. The Grinch is a 3D computer animated Christmas comedy that was released on November 9, 2018, and has received excellent reviews and critical acclaim for the animation. The third movie adaptation, however, didn’t change the original story and pretty much retained a safe approach, but it did bring out the Christmas magic to justify the modern adaptation of an old story we all know and love. If you want to rekindle your love for a Christmas classic, then make sure to check The Grinch this holiday season.

The Princess Switch

If you want to watch a cheesy Christmas movie, but you don’t feel like going out, we’ve got you covered. Released by Netflix on November 16, 2018, The Princess Switch is a classic Christmas rom-com starring Vanessa Hudgens and Sam Palladio. The movie revolves around Stacy and Margaret, both played by Hudgens, who eventually switch lives. This is definitely reminiscent of the classic Hollywood life-switching movies, with a hint of Christmas magic, romance and the ‘happily ever after.’

A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding

Netflix’s A Christmas Prince is yet another Christmas classic that you would want to watch; of course, if you are into cheesy romance, kissing in the snow and a bunch of Christmas cookie-baking, then you are in for a treat. Even though this might not be the most Christmassy movie of this holiday season, it is definitely the most charming one. The movie revolves around Amber, the blogger, and her trip to a small, fictional country named Aldovia. She goes there as Princess Emily and has to marry Richard, the prince, and future king. The movie is, therefore, delightful anticipation of Christmas magic, romance, and classic Christmas comedy, all in one. So, make sure to bake some delicious cookies and enjoy the movie in the coziness of your home.

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms

Released on November 2, 2018, in theaters, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms has proven to be the holiday spectacle you won’t want to miss. The cast of the movie includes renown names like Keira Knightley, Misty Copeland, Helen Mirren, and Morgan Freeman. This fantasy, adventure movie is not your typical Christmas movie, but it is a holiday must-see. The breathtaking visual effects, exciting storyline and a modern turn of the classic Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite from 1892, alongside many other tracks, are enough to take you into the magical Christmas paradise for this year’s very end. welcomes thoughtful comments and the varied opinions of our readers.
