Alexandra Newlon, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2020 and graduate of Medfield High School, has been named as a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship winner for spring 2019.
Newlon, of West Dennis, MA majors in Applied Mathematics at Colgate. During her Gilman semester, she plans to travel to Budapest, Hungary to study cryptography and game theory.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the Gilman Scholarship is a nationally competitive grant program that provides funding for students to study or intern abroad, to gain skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity.
