Film Screening at Woods Hole Library

February 20th at 1 p.m.

On Wednesday, February 20, at 1 PM, the Woods Hole Public Library will be showing a recent film featuring four of our favorite  British actresses. These women, Dames Eileen Atkins, Judi Dench, Joan Plowright and Maggie Smith have been close friends for more than fifty years. In this film they discuss their careers and reminisce about their humble beginnings in the theatre. The camera sits in on the conversation, as do we, the audience, letting us feel that we too are listening to, hanging on, every word, that we are in the middle of an intimate discussion.

As with many of the feature films the Library shows, we are not allowed to name the title of the film in our publicity, but we can give you clues. If really stumped, people may call the Library at 508-548-8961, and find out the answer to the question “What is the title?”

Here is a clue: With a slight change of beverage and royal titles, the title could be “Coffee with Countesses”.

The film was released last May. It runs for 1 hour and 24 minutes.

The showing at the Library is free and open to the public welcomes thoughtful comments and the varied opinions of our readers.
