Two Rescued from Capsized Boat Off Wellfleet

Water Rescue in Wellfleet (3/12/2018)

At approximately 8:00 am this morning, Wellfleet Police, Fire and the Harbormaster were advised of an overturned boat in the harbor. The 2 individuals on the boat were believed to be in the water. The Harbormaster launched their boat and took members of the fire department to rescue the involved people. Both individuals were found near the capsized boat and returned to the Harbormaster’s office without incident. Both individuals were treated for hypothermia and transported to Cape Cod Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
