Students from the Eddy School in Brewster had a field trip to the Boston Museum of Science today.  After a fun day at the museum, the trip ended abruptly with a bus crash on Route 3 in Duxbury.

The crash happened around 3:17 p.m. on Route 3 South between Exit 11 and 10.  Duxbury fire officials report that there were a total of 95 people on two Pina Bus Line buses.  Eight people were transported to Beth Isreal Hospital in Plymouth with minor injuries.

According to reports from the scene, one bus struck a car and then the following bus struck the bus that had collided with the car.  No one in the car was reported injured.

A backup bus was dispatched to retrieve the children, with all expected to arrive in Brewster shortly after 5 p.m.
