Osterville Village library announces safety training program “Stop the Bleed Save a Life” presented by the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department.

The Osterville Village Library (OVL) is pleased to announce the upcoming "Stop the Bleed" program on April 16th from 5:00-6:30 PM. This is a national awareness campaign intended to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. This class is free! It is for "All Ages" however parental discretion should be used in determining enrollment for younger children. It is recommended for young adults and adults. Osterville Village library announces upcoming National Parks travel series from April to June.

Back by popular demand, the Osterville Village Library (OVL) is pleased to announce the series on National Parks by Stephen Farrar from April to June at 5:00PM.

Thursday, April 18th join us for “Waterfalls of Iceland,” as Stephen Farrar as he brings you along to the Waterfalls of Iceland and its 3 National Parks. His trip consisted of around the country via the Ring Road and includes stunning photos of some natural wonders to depict the variety found along the route.

Thursday, May 23rd in “Tour of the South Island New Zealand,” Farrar and his wife spent a week circumnavigating the island in a campervan – Mount Cook, the Milford Sound, glaciers, forests, beaches, and sheep. Stunning photos also include Farrar doing the highest bungy jump in the world (at the time) and photos from 5 of the 10 National Parks on the South Island.

Thursday, June 20th in “Plants in the Parks,” makes the case that going to see flora in the US National Parks should rank much higher on priority lists as to what one should go to see in our parks. Osterville Village Library Announces “A Moment to Understand Grief and Loss” presented by Gary German, PhD.

Have you suffered a recent loss? On Friday, May 17th at 10:00 AM, Gary German, PhD will offer a presentation titled, “A Moment to Understand Grief and Loss.” The talk also affords an opportunity for attendees to share experiences for mutual benefit. Osterville Village Library Announces Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Follow that bunny! The Osterville Village Library is pleased to announce our annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held inside the library, Saturday, April 20th at 9:15 AM. Children are invited to search for eggs in the library’s children’s room. Inside the eggs, kids will find candy and a few surprises!  This year’s hunt is sponsored by Pocket Full of Posies Children's Shop. How about a chance to win a jumbo sized plush bunny from Pocket Full of Posies? Come in any day before the event or on the date of the egg hunt to purchase tickets. Tickets are 1 for $5; 3 for $10. Osterville Village Library Announces Resume Writing Workshop

The Osterville Village Library will hold a resume and cover letter workshop Monday April 22nd from 2:00 - 3:00 PM.  Looking for a new career? Haven't updated your resume in years? Not sure where to begin on a cover letter?  Join us for a class on how to create your best resume & cover letter! Please register as space is limited. We will cover learning the dos and don'ts of what to include, how to navigate around "gap" years, and how to format your resume. Osterville Village Library Announces Children’s Reading Program with Caz, The Dog!

Caz is back! The Osterville Village Library is pleased to announce “Read to Caz” on Saturday, April 27th at 10:00 AM. Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Children's Book Week by reading your favorite dog book to Caz. Caz is a retired therapy dog who now enjoys his special 'job' of having children read to him at the Osterville Village Library. Families with children ages 6-12 are invited to drop in.
