From the Wareham Department of Natural Resources:

2019 Spring Turkey Hunting Season starts April 29th

The start of the 2019 Spring turkey hunting season is April 29th and runs through May 25th. All dates are inclusive and hunting is PROHIBITED on SUNDAY. 

During the spring season, hunting hours are 1/2 hour before sunrise and ends at noon. Resident hunters are reminded that they must have a hunting license as well as a Turkey permit. Non-Resident hunters must have a big game license and a turkey permit. 

All hunters must have a safety sticker affixed to their firearm, and must be positioned so it can be seen when sighting down the barrel. 

If you suspect a hunting violation has occurred contact the Wareham Police Department at (508) 295-1212 and they will dispatch a Natural Resources Officer. During business hours you can call our Administrative Office at (508) 291-3100 ext 3180. Additionally, you may contact the Massachusetts Environmental Police at (800) 632-8075.
