Historic Headstone Stolen in Falmouth

UPDATE - STONE IS FOUND

UPDATE:  Falmouth Police report the stone has been found.  It was not stolen.  The family of the deceased had it removed for repairs and it will be returned following repairs.

From the Falmouth Police Department:

Falmouth Police are investigating the larceny of a historic headstone dating back to the 1700 hundreds. Officers were called to the Old Burying Grounds off Mill Road when a witness observed a subject loading the headstone into the back of a truck. The suspect was described as a white male 50 to 60 years of age, with a regular build wearing a black coat and baseball cap. He was operating a black full size pick-up truck (possibly an F-250) with an extended cab.
