A paddleboarder died off Nauset Light Beach Sunday afternoon.  Authorities received calls that a man had fallen off his paddleboard and was floating in the water.

Cape & Islands District Attorney Michal O'Keefe has identified the victim as David C. Harmon, age 55.  The medical examiner will report an official cause of death.  The DA said it appears Mr. Harmon suffered a medical issue  while paddleboarding.  Foul play is not suspected.

The rescue effort included rescuers from Eastham, Orleans, Chatham and the US Coast Guard.  The victim was taken to Chatham due to low tide at Nauset Inlet.
