YPD: Dara Gannon and Detective Wells Embark on 300 Mile Bike Trek

From the Yarmouth Police Department:

Today Sgt. Sean M. Gannon’s wife Dara and Yarmouth Detective Mike Wells begin their 300 mile bike trek to Washington,DC. They are part of the Police Unity Tour and will be riding as members of Team New Bedford. Sean is a New Bedford native.

Thousands of riders will converge in Washington, DC this Sunday that will signify the beginning of National Police Week. During the week, Sgt. Sean M. Gannon will be honored along with all other Officers who were killed in the line of duty in 2018.

The Police Unity Tour’s primary purpose is to raise awareness Law Enforcement Officers who died in the line of duty. The tour also raises money for the National Law 
Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum.

On behalf of Dara and Mike, they would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for all of the support and encouragement they have received.
