NWS: Showers Tonight and Friday Morning

Ushering in a cold front...

From the National Weather Service:

Showers become more numerous after sunset. The showers will bring scattered thunderstorms with them. The night will be mild and very humid with temperatures falling to the upper 60s and 70s. 

A cold front moves through Southern New England later tonight and early Friday. Clouds and scattered showers will linger into Friday, but should diminish through the day as the cold front moves offshore. The trend will be for mostly clear skies Friday night through Saturday.

 

Tonight
A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Patchy fog before 11pm, then patchy fog after 1am. Low around 67. South wind 11 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between noon and 2pm. Patchy fog before 1pm. High near 77. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Friday Night
A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Patchy fog between 9pm and 11pm. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southwest wind around 7 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Northwest wind 7 to 9 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Mostly clear, with a low around 69. Southwest wind around 10 mph.

Sunny, with a high near 81. West wind around 8 mph.
