Woods Hole Library to Hold Book Sale

August 17th at the library

The Woods Hole Public Library’s big summer book sale will begin on Saturday, August 17 at 10 AM. The sale will run till 5 PM that day. In the days following, the sale will be open during regular Library hours.

The Book Sale volunteers have been very busy preparing for this sale. In the days immediately preceding the sale, they will be setting up tables all through the lower- level large meeting room, and arranging books on them, all carefully sorted by subject.

Most of the books are recent gifts to the Library, donated especially for the sale, including a large number of old “collectibles.” Book Sale Chair Camilla Larrey comments “We have just received several large donations of beautiful big art books in excellent condition, and a small collection of Civil War books. Of course, there are many new fiction paperbacks. It is going to be a great sale.”

Newcomers to the sale will be surprised and delighted at the careful arrangement and universally low prices. (The base price for hard-backs is $2). Even the “higher priced” volumes are very reasonable.
