Plymouth Beaches Closed for Three Hours Due to Shark Sighting

Confirmed sighting alongside lobster boat...

The Sharktivity app reports that, as of 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Plymouth's town beachs are closed to swimming for three hours.  This follows a confirmed sighting by a lobsterman of a 8-9 foot white shark at the surface alongside his boat.

Beaches should be open again by 3:15 p.m., assuming there are no further sharks sighted in the area.

Sharktivity is a service of the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy.
