Four Boaters Assisted to Shore in Waquoit Bay

Boat damaged when it struck rocks...

Falmouth Fire/Rescue personnel assisted four boaters after their sport fishing vessel struck rocks in Waquoit Bay around 7 p.m. Saturday.

A rescue boat met the stricken vessel, firefighters determined that nobody was injured and that the damaged vessel was not taking on water.  

Firefighters assisted the victims to shore and summoned a commercial salvage vessel to take charge of the damaged 30 foot boat.
