Sandwich Police - Pedestrian Struck by Car on Kiah's Way

75 year old driver cited, victim's injuries reportedly not life-threatening...

From the Sandwich Police Department (verbatim):

On 10/4/19 at 4:32 pm the Sandwich Police responded to a motor vehicle crash, on Kiah’s Way at the intersection of Mill Road, The call was reported as car versus pedestrian.

Upon arrival, officers determined a 38 year old female from Plymouth was walking east on Kiah’s Way when a Honda Civic hit the female from behind. The female was transported to Cape Cod Hospital by what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

The operator of the Honda Civic was 75 year old Sandwich resident who stayed at the scene. The driver was cited for the crash.

The crash is under investigation by Officer Tim Condon and was assisted at the scene by the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
