Letter to the editor:
Note to Massachusetts elected officials: we the people want no part of the Transportation Climate Initiative (TCI) carbon tax that you are planning to repackage as a "fee", and impose on us.
If you want to see how central control of energy pricing by government bureaucrats would impact your quality of life, look no further than Europe where electric rates & gasoline are 2-3 times higher than we pay here today.
Of course, our politicians really don't think they are going to change the temperature of the earth from Massachusetts. This is a power grab.
For each gallon of fossil fuel you dare consume to get to work or heat your home, they will punish you with a fee, and "reinvest" your money in their pet Beacon Hill project.
What could possibly go wrong in a state that is too corrupt to manage overtime, and too inept to process RMV suspensions?
